Jacque France

Jacque painting in ItalyJacqueline received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and after graduation taught art to children as an occupational therapist for four years. While raising her own family she continued to paint recreationally and developed an antique business that she and her partner operated for over thirty years. After retiring from the antiques business, Jacque became a member and oil painting teacher at the Du Page Art League, Naperville Art League and the La Grange Art League where she is a board member and school director. Her urge to paint full-time blossomed in 2000 after she attended a landscape painting workshop in Tuscany. Jacque made her public painting debut in March 2005 with a successful show at the La Grange Art League Gallery.

She regularly conducts painting demonstrations, critiques and workshops for art associations in the Chicago area and is a workshop instructor at the popular Peninsula School Of Art in Wisconsin.

The French impressionists have been the primary influence in her work and Jacque teams up with her husband annually to paint and attend European workshops where she has expanded her repertoire. They frequently attends workshops at the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona and make painting trips around the US and Canada. Her work hangs in private and corporate collections throughout the country.
